“Be brave, be kind, have fun”
Read More×After working in the fast-paced and high-pressured marketing and events industry for over 17 years, I understand the importance of switching off and recharging. Taking time out to rebalance, helps better prepare us to face the challenges of the modern world. Training in Reflexology in 2015 and Indian Head in 2019, my holistic side-hustle became my main focus when the event industry suffered due to the pandemic. Supporting children’s wellbeing is something I am extremely passionate about, hence in 2021, I added Baby Reflexage to my offering. This is Baby Reflexology and Massage combined together using the Tiny Toes Method. I absolutely love empowering new parents with the techniques of reflexology to support early discomforts. I studied Hand Reflexology to support children with special educational needs within schools. Finally, I studied Pregnancy Reflexology with London School of Reflexology, with a focus on pre-conceptual, pregnancy, natural labour and post-natal. Alongside my business, I facilitate wellbeing and mental health training in the workplace, with POINT3 Wellbeing. This combines my corporate and holistic experience together, offering me flexibility to work around two young children. In addition to this, I am the Head of Marketing for Coram, the children’s charity. If I can use my skills to help others, making them feel better in themselves, then that is a good day in the office. Supporting people with their mental and physical wellbeing is extremely rewarding – I love what I do.

“Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see”
Read More×TBB Friend and Champion
My Mood Stars came about in 2018 when Wendy White developed the resource to help fellow childminders implement and evidence PSED. (Personal, Social and Emotional Development.) Childminders used the 8 plush Stars depicting 8 different emotions in story sacks and Circle Time and noticed how their minded children used the hand-sized Stars to talk about their feelings, experiences and relationships. Wendy’s Ofsted inspector suggested that she market the Stars as there was a huge gap in the market for an affordable, durable and effective resource. From Childminders to nursery schools and on to primary schools the Stars then reached the SEN community where they’ve been helping parents support their children with special educational needs. The Mood Stars evolved and a My Mood Stars board was designed as a useful accessory along with a My Mood Stars workbook and Happy Sad sensory cushion. All the products are available at www.mymoodstars.co.uk
